Kangarloo Blog Update: CK Wins Prairie Stage Race
Land of Living Skies - Redux

I Traveled out to Saskatoon with the Block brothers this past weekend for the Bikes on Broadway stage race. I raced this event last year and lets just say I came out of it with somewhat of a sour taste in my mouth. I wasn't looking forward to it. That being said, once I swung my legs over my bike and turned my pedals over in anger, last year's experience was erased from my mind. Sure, we had an incredibly boring six hour drive to deal with but once that was out of the way, the weekend was a blast.

The time trial on Saturday night was a race I knew I had won before even seeing the results. I have only had this feeling twice before; where you are racing against the clock, oblivious to what your competitors are doing but based on how the cylinders were firing, a good results was bound to occur. On the 8km course beside the South Saskatchewan river, I just had that sensation. Don't get me wrong, it hurt a whole hell of a lot but suffering on the rivet is what I like.
After the time trial, we had a great evening of people watching right in front of the Besborough hotel and a nice dinner. Anthony was sure hungry for something...
Once back at our gracious host's house, Schooler informs me of the result. My feelings were validated and I killed the time trial! Yes, my time was only twenty seconds faster than last year but the wind was blowing in the opposite direction. Plus, having a full aero setup makes up for more than a few seconds.
