X-C.com Training Plan: Week #5
If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to give your body a test of fitness!  I encourage you to enter a ski marathon (loppet) in your area to push your body to adapt further.  I’ve always found that no matter how much I try to simulate races in intervals or time trials, there’s nothing like putting on a bib to make you push harder!  The ‘race’ will force you to push beyond your limits and force your body to once again adapt to the physiological demands.

CALGARY
-- At long last, Ivan Babikov is a Canadian citizen.
He still can't represent Canada in any World Cup or world championship cross-country ski event. He can't ski for Canada until he gets an official licence from the International Ski Federation (known by its French initials, FIS). He can't get his licence until the current cross-country season is over. He's not eligible for full funding from Sport Canada because he can't compete for Canada until he gets his FIS licence.
