| Ski Marathon Report: Genus Kelowna Apple Loppet |
The ski marathon season kicked off in Western Canada with the Kelowna Apple Loppet on the Telemark Ski Club trails. This growing event hit almost 200 participants this past weekend, a feat they attribute to the popular pursuit style event where skiers complete a 15km classic loop, exchange their gear and then finish off with a 15km skating loop.

Kicking off the ski marathon season out West is the Kelowna Apple Loppet! If you haven’t participated in this event, be prepared for a fun experience. This pursuit race involves a 15km classic leg followed by a 15km skate leg. This is a great format that adds a bit of ‘spice’ to the event. | Racing Report: Grey and Renner Take Individual Classic Race Victories |
Racers get tested by damp weather-
Three days ago, racers were greeted with -30C on the Highland Nordic Ski Trails...Today's individual classic event was contested at +5C on grey and misty trails - Although the wet snow conditions made the ski and wax selection a bit more difficult, the best skiers of the day were once again crowned, with George Grey and Sara Renner taking the victories.

| 2008 US Nationals: Another Win for the Russian Rocket |
It was another great day for Team X-C.com's Ivan Babikov (racing for US Factory Team) at the US Nationals as he dominated the men's 15km individual classic event by winning with over a minute lead over his Factory Team-mates Lars Flora and Andrey Golovko of Kazakhstan.
