Peak Challenge, held on Mt Seymour near Vancouver, BC.  The event attracted eager runners from all over North America, as the 12km ascent would offer a difficult test for mountain runners vying for a selection on the World Mountain Running Championship team in Switzerland.

The race was won by Joe Gray from Lakewood, WA.  He was followed by last year’s Canadian Champion Adrian Lambert from Edmonton, AB and then two Victoria, BC boys Kris Swanson and MuddySocks/Salomon Flight Crew member Adam Campbell who made up the top three Canadian finishers.

The women’s race was won by Suzanne Evans of New Westminster, BC, followed by Edmonton’s Krissy Dooling and Carole McClean of West Vancouver.  The performance of the day went to young Julia Ransom (junior) who placed 5 overall in the Women’s Elite!

Partnering with La Sportiva Mountain Cup, North Shore Athletics designed a challenging 12km accent that took runners up the face of famed Mt Seymour. The trail boast both technical and gruelling uphill sections!  The event also offered an open race to local trail runners, as well as a 2-person relay team option.
